I wanted to show off my extraordinary coat, but even this picture doesn't do it justice. My "big sister" Belle says I look like a delicious caramel cookie. If I do say so myself, my coat is a scrumptious mixture of cream, gold, and brown colors.
One thing that is important for keeping my coat as lovely as it is, is something that I quite dread... a bath! My mom, dad, and big sister give me a bath in the bathroom sink once a month. Here's a picture of me right before Daddy took me out of the sink to dry me off. I do feel better after the bath, but the whole process is just a nuisance! As soon as they put me in the water, I am instantly looking for an escape route. But of course, Mommy makes me stay in until I am scrubbed and rinsed. Afterward, they blow the warm air gun on me until my coat fluffs back up again. Belle likes to run a little comb through my coat so it's nice and smooth. Thank god I only have to put up with this once a month!
At least bath time isn't as horrible as getting my nails trimmed. As soon as Mommy grabs on to one of my precious paws, I know what she is up to! So I kick and kick for all it's worth, until eventually she will give up. Maybe if I let her do it all at once she will stop coming back again later for the others. But I just HATE it!
Even though the humans put me through a lot of crap, I know that they do love me. Here is a picture of me and my big sister, Belle. She loves to put me on her lap [although she is quite the princess like me and would prefer not to chance getting my hair or poops on her lovely dresses] and feed me treats. Here, I am munching on a delicious piece of Timothy Hay. My other favorite foods are romaine lettuce [which I eat daily] and an occasional carrot or two [which the humans say I eat just like a corn on the cob]. Other veggies and fruits my pig sisters and I have tried include: apples, grapes, cucumbers, bell pepper, oranges, and I think there might be a few others. We also get pellets, fresh water, and a hefty supply of hay each and every day. [My mommy will probably post a product review real soon.]
Overall, I am quite a content pig. I am thankful for many things: my humans, food, my big cage, and especially my pig sisters, Snickers and Ariel.
Thanks for reading all about me, Ellie. As you can see, I am quite the pampered, princess pig! I am sure I will be writing to you all again real soon.
<3 Ellie xoxo
